"Tampere being the cradle for the democratic rights to women in Europe is a powerful fact"

I have been travelling to Tampere for music and culture as long as I can remember. I have always been inspired by the story of an industrial city that has re-invented itself from a working-class town into a contemporary hub for business, arts and culture.

Tampere being the cradle for the democratic rights to women in Europe is a powerful fact and an inspiring story on equality as well as the impact of arts and creativity.

The team of TMW is immensely proud to be able to celebrate the anniversaries of Tampere Hall 30 and Moomins 75 in Tallinn in March 2020 as an opening night to our festival. The programmes we have put together with the teams of Tampere Hall and Tampere2026 are exquisite and the story of equality is for the whole world to take inspiration from!

As if this was not enough already, congratulations to Tampere Hall for becoming Finland’s first carbon-neutral concert and conference centre and huge respect for the City of Tampere for its determination to become carbon-neutral by 2030! Respect Tampere!
